ALMXpert is user friendly and easy to use. This enables teams of all sizes to deliver high quality apps with greater speed and agility with high confidence. This helps to estimate and plan projects very efficiently and effectively.
ALMXpert gives a default agile template to users and they can change this as per their need. Users can create applications, add users, create Sprint/Kanban Boards, add Test Cases and create Tests Cycles. Users can also generate many reports as per need.
1. ALM Workflow
ALMXpert workflow is customizable and users can do it very easily. For this users need to hover mouse on ‘Setup’ menu bar option and click on ‘Lookup’.
For example, default template gives five statuses for ‘User Story’. If user wants to create another status for ‘User Story’, he can do this from here.
Before :
Click on ‘+Add’ button and give Name and Description to new status. Then click on Submit button.
After :
Similarly user can change workflow for ‘User Story Task Status’ and ‘Feature Status’ as well.
2. Checklist (Definition of Done)
ALMXpert Checklist can also be called as ‘Definition of Done Checklist’. This is an exit criteria to determine whether a backlog item (Release, Feature, User Story, User Story Task or Sprint) is complete.
ALMXpert Checklist is customizable and users can do it very easily. For this users need to hover mouse on ‘Setup’ menu bar option and click on ‘Lookup’.
For example, default template gives three checklist options for ‘User Story Checklist’. If user wants to create another option for ‘User Story Checklist’, he can do this from here.
Before :
Click on ‘+Add’ button and give Name and Description to new checklist. Then click on Submit button.
After :
Similarly user can change checklist for ‘User Story Task Checklist’, ‘Feature Checklist’, ‘Sprint Checklist’ and ‘Release Checklist’ as well.
In case you don’t want to apply a checklist item then just click on disable checkbox.
3. Test Regression
Regression is a vital part of testing and this needs test cases. Testers need to add, edit and disable test cases as and when there is change in application. ALMXpert allows users to do so effortlessly.
At the time of regression, testers need test cycles consisting of test cases. These test cycles consist of one or more category test cases. ALMXpert allows users to create Test Cycles. User can Edit, Update, Abort, Clone, Archive, Unarchive and Lock these Test Cycles.
ALMXpert enables users to execute test cycles. Users can record result and time of this activity.
4. Project Management (Agile)
Users can create Releases, Features, User Stories and User Story Tasks for Agile way of working. Users can follow Scrum and Kanban methodologies very effectively using ALMXpert. It allows users to view Release Board, Backlog Board, Sprint Board, Kanban Board and User Stories on a single click.
ALMXpert can generate real time reports. Users can use filters depending on their needs and generate the reports.
ALMXpert can be used very effectively for Resource Management. Users can assign resources to User Stories, User Story Tasks and Bugs etc. Users can set roles and permissions to users and users having specific permissions are only allowed to perform particular operations.
